When presented to do a complete makeover of an ecommerce site that provides a multitude of apparel for workers from all ranges of fields was a very tough task and exciting enough challenge to take on. We evaluated multiple ideas for a site that was more dynamic in its appearance than anything we’ve ever designed before in the past. With over thirteen pages that would dynamically shift in color as the user navigated from one page to another this approach ignited other interesting takes with minimal animation elements that would make the experience feel as if they were completely immersed in the brand. Each color option was picked and appropriate for each page the site in accordance to total relevance and tonal value. Having fun while exploring as many intuitive responses allowed for quickly developing concepts of all sorts that began to break on the verge of extreme exploratory styles before we settled on the final comps seen above.
Additional Header Banner Concepts
The grid structure stayed the same pretty much through out aspect of the design but still there were minor elements like the icons for the page categories that made the page fall in coordination to the surrounding theme. Negative space was used sparingly to really get a strong sense of energy on the pages and the offerings the company could potentially deliver. Each banner concept, execution, and tagline was carefully considered so that the even that every site banner could be used as a standalone advertisement for future products. The site design overall category scheme is like a deck of cards that were jumbled together in a single set where each was independently stylish no matter what page you landed on. Overall the client was very happy about the scope of the work done even showcasing the design to prospective business partners.
